Drag Drive Simulator Starter Vehicles

Your first Drag Drive Simulator garage should be built for practice, not prestige. ADV Gamers Team’s Roblox DDS is live since 15 January 2025, with 25-player servers and an RP (cash) economy. The current public build is BETA V1.1.8. None of that changes the starter rule: redeem codes, buy a budget motorcycle, tune it, race Sentul, then save for cars. This page is that rule in full, with links into dealerships, gamepasses, and the motorcycle tier list.

If you have not finished Getting Started, do that first for controls and the spawn loop. Come back here when the buy button is the only thing left.

Step 0 — codes before chrome

Open the in-game Store, Redeem tab, and paste every active code from the codes hub. V1.1.8 shipped five new codes with the Independence window that started 30 August 2026. Older like-goal codes may still work. Failed codes are not a reason to skip the rest of this page; they are a reason to hop to a fresh server and try once more.

Codes exist so you can afford a bike plus a tune, not so you can empty the most expensive dummy in the nearest window. Keep a reserve. A vehicle you cannot ratio-match is a parked screenshot.

Step 1 — walk more than one dealer

The spawn lot is convenient. It is not the whole catalogue. Public videos walk Honda-style, Yamaha-style, Vespa/Piaggio-style, drag, and luxury buildings on different corners. Dealerships is the route page. For a starter buy you only need two or three doors:

• One cheap automatic scooter row (Vario-class / Scoopy-class families).
• One cheap underbone row.
• A glance at anything labelled drag or luxury so you know what you are not buying yet.

If a dummy requires DragSpec, Luxury, or Police, walk away. Those passes are listed on gamepasses. They are not starter tools.

Step 2 — pick a C-role motorcycle

On the motorcycle list, starter underbones and scooters sit in C — starter value. That letter means “best first RP spent,” not “slow forever.”

What to look for

• A price that leaves RP for tuning.
• A shape you will actually sit on for an hour (if you hate scooters, pick an underbone).
• No event timer. Limited Independence specials are a later optional buy on Limited Vehicles.

What to ignore

• The biggest cc number a YouTuber shouted. We do not reprint invented horsepower.
• A stock car that costs three bikes. It will still lose a short Sentul pull to a tuned scooter.
• Matching a friend’s Luxury pass bike on day one.

Step 3 — tune before Tournament

Drive the new bike to a quiet road or the strip staging area. Change one thing at a time: first-gear length, then second, then ride height if you own or try Suspension tools. Public notes for later 1.1.x patches describe manual textbox input and a rims-type rework — use those if your build has them, but do not confuse a rim swap with a launch fix.

V1.1.8 also added DRL type, DRL colour, indicator flash rate, and a kickstand that follows suspension height. Fun. Do it after the gearbox works.

When the bike leaves the line without bogging or lighting the tyre for no reason, you are ready for Sentul Time Trial. Tournament can wait until Time Trial feels boring.

Step 4 — Sentul is the exam

Sentul is the original drag classroom. Interact with the circuit zone, run Time Trial, then Tournament. Short pulls reward a clean first-to-second more than a fancy silhouette. If you lose to a cheaper bike, you did not pick the “wrong C chassis.” You launched worse. Run again.

After a handful of clean runs, the starter motorcycle has done its job: it taught the gearbox and it prints RP. Now you may look at a second role — sport (A), drag spec (S), luxury cruise (B), or a live limited if Independence is still selling.

Step 5 — cars are a later garage

Cars and trucks are part of DDS. They are not the starter. Buy one when:

• The motorcycle launches clean without thinking.
• You have RP that is truly spare, not the last of a code.
• You want a cruise or job tool (RideGo, photos, group convoy), not a shortcut around practice.

If you still stall at the lights, spend on tuning or more Sentul reps, not a sedan.

Optional Robux, still not “starter”

Cheap passes that do not replace the bike:

• Boombox Radio (29) — audio.
• Suspension Pro (29) — if you actually live in ride height.
• Advance Paint (59) — appearance.

Skip 2x Paycheck (499) until the loop of races plus jobs is something you already do for free. Skip Police (149) until you want the job. Skip DragSpec (109) and Luxury (119) until C is boring. Full table: gamepasses.

Independence week extra rule

If the map is dressed for Independence Quest 2026, it is tempting to skip the ugly starter and buy one of the five limited specials. Read Limited Vehicles and the Independence event guide. The correct order is still: C bike that you will keep, then one limited family you can afford to freeze when the shop closes. A collectible you cannot launch is a 75-slot problem, not a flex.

Starter garage checklist

1. Codes redeemed on a current server.
2. Two or three dealers compared.
3. One C motorcycle purchased.
4. Gear notes written in your own words.
5. Sentul Time Trial completed without panic shifting.
6. RP reserve still sitting for the next tune or the event shop.
7. No Robux spent except what you already wanted for cosmetics.

When that list is true, you are no longer a starter. Keep the bike anyway. The Vehicles Hub and tier list are waiting, but they assume you already own this ugly, paid-off teacher.

If a patch restocks cheap scooters, you do not need a new personality. Repeat the same five steps. DDS rewards people who launch, not people who own the newest dummy for twenty minutes.
