Getting Started in Drag Drive Simulator
Codes, a cheap motorcycle, one Sentul Time Trial, then a job — not a showroom car.
Your first hour in Drag Drive Simulator should feel like a checklist, not a shopping spree. ADV Gamers Team ships DDS (also called RDID Revamp) as a live Roblox roleplay and drag game on 25-player online servers. RP is the only currency you earn from play. Robux never drops from races or jobs. If you burn the starter wallet on a flashy car before you can shift, you will stall at Sentul while cheaper bikes leave you.
This page is the session order. Pair it with the controls guide when keys confuse you, the map guide when you cannot find a dealer, and the Guides Hub when you need the full index.
Minute 0–5: spawn and redeem
Load into a public server. On foot, E is interact. The key icon on the HUD spawns your current vehicle; you do not need a garage trip just to roll. Before you buy anything, open the shopping-cart Store and use the Redeem tab. Paste each string exactly (codes are case-sensitive) from the codes list. V1.1.8 shipped extra redeem strings with the Independence Quest. Claim them while they still work. A failed redeem is usually a typo, an old server, or an expired code — rejoin a fresh server before you assume the list is dead.
Do not skip this step because a dealer is closer than the cart. Code RP is the largest legal jump you will get in the first session, and it is gone if you wander off to test-drive cars first.
Minute 5–15: spawn a bike, refuse the expensive car
Spawn a motorcycle from the key icon even if it is a basic starter. DDS looks like a car game in screenshots; the skill loop is built around drag bikes, clutch launches, and short-strip Sentul runs. The first expensive car on a spawn-adjacent lot is a trap for new wallets. You still have to learn Q/E shifting, parking with P, and the clutch dump. A costly chassis does not teach those keys.
Ride or walk to the nearest motorcycle dealer instead of the prettiest glass box. Community tutorials point new players at Honda and Vespa lots, with car, truck, and drag-bike dealers further out. Compare prices. Buy something you can replace if you crash it into a barrier during clutch practice. Save showpieces for after you can launch without redlining.
If a limited Independence vehicle is sitting in a special lot, look, do not impulse-buy until you have read the Independence event page and know whether that window still sells it.
Minute 15–25: enough controls to move
You do not need every bind yet. You need enough to leave spawn without looking like a parked NPC:
- WASD to drive.
- E shift up, Q shift down.
- P parking; release it before you wonder why the bike will not move.
- Shift handbrake.
- L headlights after dusk.
- V first person if the third-person camera hides the RPM.
- M when you are ready for manual clutch.
On foot, Space jumps and E interacts. Mobile players should find clutch and throttle as separate HUD pads; they are not the same as a keyboard W key. The controls guide has the full tables, including E+P for top gear and Q+P for neutral.
Practice one block away from spawn. Shift up before the limiter screams. If the bike hops in place, you are in parking or you dumped the clutch at redline.
Minute 25–40: first Sentul Time Trial
Teleport or ride to Sentul Track (Sentul Circuit). Interact with the blue Sentul zone. Choose Time Trial, not Tournament. Time Trial pays RP by distance per second, lasts a short burst, and lets you repeat the lights without donating a pool to someone who already has a ladder tune.
Launch recipe for this first hour: press M, hold roughly 6000-8000 RPM, dump when the lights go green. Do not sit on the redline. Too much RPM spins tires and you watch the field leave. After the run, look at whether you hit the limiter too early (gears too short) or were still pulling at the stripe (gears too long). Do not open a full gear tuning session until you can dump on green three times in a row.
If you want a printed reminder in the pit, keep the launch checklist beside the race UI. Tournament can wait until the drag racing page makes sense.
Minute 40–60: then a job
After one or two clean Time Trials, stop racing until you have a paycheck loop. Open job select and pick something you can finish while learning the city:
- Courier if you want to learn roads by delivering packages.
- Office Worker if you would rather sit at a desk and solve math for RP.
- Barista if you can find the Coffee Shop on the main map.
- RideGo Driver if you want the V1.1.7 online taxi loop and other players are actually requesting rides.
- Civilian if you only want free roam — it pays nothing by itself.
- Policeman only after you buy the Police Pass (149 Robux).
The jobs guide explains each role. The how to earn RP page explains why you should mix jobs with trials instead of AFK hoping. 2x Paycheck helps only if you complete work.
What not to do in hour one
Do not empty the wallet on rims, DRL colors, or paint passes before you own a bike you can launch. V1.1.8 lighting mods are fun; they do not shorten a 60-foot. Do not buy Suspension Pro (29 Robux) as a substitute for learning M. Do not hop servers looking for a secret Robux race; it does not exist. Do not treat Bandung or extra city names from community videos as required homework — use the map guide for the official cluster (original map, Sentul, Surakarta, Pettarani in Makassar) and treat extra districts as optional exploration.
If the Independence decorations are up, you can glance at them after the first trial. Do not abandon the cheap bike to hunt every flag before you know Q and E.
First-night closeout
Before you log out, redeem any code you skipped, park with P so the bike is not rolling in the street, and write down which dealer you actually used. Tomorrow is for tuning and a longer look at Pettarani top-end, not for repeating the same spawn-lot mistake. If a friend joins the 25-player server, take them to Time Trial, not Tournament, until both of you can dump on green.
A useful closeout is boring on purpose: one redeemed code list, one paid motorcycle you can still afford to crash, three Sentul Time Trials on the board, and a job you can restart without a tutorial. If any of those four is missing, stay on this page instead of opening limited shops. The rest of the wiki — tier list, event vehicles, DRL colors — waits until that baseline exists. That is how DDS beginners still have RP after the first night.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Drag Drive Simulator questions.
Should I buy a car first in Drag Drive Simulator?
No. Spawn a motorcycle, visit the nearest motorcycle dealer, and keep a cheap bike for clutch practice. Cars can wait until you can launch at Sentul without spinning tires.
When do I redeem codes?
In the first five minutes. Open Store, Redeem, and paste strings from the codes hub before you spend RP. Codes are case-sensitive.
Time Trial or Tournament first?
Time Trial. It pays by distance per second and repeats quickly. Tournament gives the pool to the winner and punishes a bad first launch. See drag racing.
What job should a new player take?
Courier or Office Worker if you want simple RP. Barista if you can reach the Coffee Shop. RideGo if the server is busy. Skip Policeman until you want the 149 Robux pass. Full roles: jobs.
Can I earn Robux by playing DDS?
No. Gameplay pays RP only. Robux is for optional passes. Plan spending with how to earn RP.
Where is the spawn vehicle button?
The key icon on the HUD. You do not need a dealer visit just to bring out the bike you already own.
